Our Sustainability Efforts 2026
GROUND Wellbeing is built on the belief that care should extend beyond ourselves. As a brand, we are committed to operating responsibly, considering the impact of our products, our practices and our partnerships.
We are proud to be a Certified B Corporation, meeting recognised standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. This reflects our ongoing commitment to building a business that considers both people and planet across everything we do.
We see sustainability as an ongoing process and are committed to continuously reviewing and improving how we operate as we grow.
Materials & Packaging
We take a considered approach to packaging, working to minimise the use of plastic and reduce it wherever possible to essential components such as caps, droppers and seals.
Our boxes and sleeves are made from PEFC-certified board, supporting sustainably managed forests. Printed materials are produced on responsibly sourced paper using plant-based inks and renewable energy where possible.
We reuse cardboard packaging internally and use recycled fill materials for shipping, helping to reduce waste across our operations. Our ritual cards are produced on biodegradable board using vegetable-based adhesives.
Ingredients & Formulation
Our products are made using natural, plant-based and vegan ingredients, carefully selected for their quality, safety and function within each formulation.
Our body oils and balms are 100% natural, created using therapeutic-grade essential oils and nutrient-rich plant oils to support the body in a considered and effective way.
Our Biome skincare range is dermatologically tested and developed to support the skin barrier and overall skin health. Due to the nature of water-based formulations, these products require carefully selected preservatives and stabilising ingredients to ensure safety, stability and shelf life.
As a result, the Biome range contains between 95–99% ingredients of natural origin:
- Repair Cream – 99%
- Repair Serum – 95%
- Plant Water – 97%
- Cleansing Gel Mask – 99%
These ingredients are responsibly chosen, gentle on the skin and widely used within professional skincare to prevent microbial growth and maintain product integrity.
We also develop formulations with sensitivity in mind, including products used within our cancer care treatments which have been dermatologically tested.
We maintain close relationships with our suppliers and ensure traceability across our ingredients, allowing us to stand confidently behind the quality and sourcing of our products.
Production & Operations
GROUND products are crafted in Ireland through a combination of small-batch production and specialist manufacturing, depending on the needs of each formulation.
Our oils, balms and core products are produced in small batches, allowing us to maintain close oversight of quality, consistency and process. Where formulations require a different approach, including water-based products, we work with trusted Irish manufacturing partners who share our standards and values.
This approach allows us to ensure product integrity while maintaining flexibility as we grow.
We are committed to reducing waste across our operations and continuously reviewing how we use materials and resources within the business. Carbon impact is considered across our sourcing and production decisions, with a focus on working thoughtfully and responsibly.
Animal Welfare & Vegan Standards
GROUND is a cruelty-free brand. We do not test on animals, and we work with suppliers who uphold the same standards.
All products are made using vegan ingredients.
Community & Ethics
We prioritise working with Irish and European partners across packaging, design and print, supporting local industry while maintaining quality and consistency.
Beyond environmental considerations, our work is rooted in inclusive wellbeing. Through our treatments, products and training, we aim to support individuals across different life stages and experiences.
This includes specialist work in cancer care, as well as developing treatments and products designed to support children’s emotional wellbeing, including those who are neurodivergent.
We are also committed to creating a space that is respectful, inclusive and supportive of all individuals, including the LGBTQ+ community, ensuring that wellbeing is accessible and considered for everyone.
Sustainable Lifestyles - Retail Refills
We continue to develop refill options across both retail and spa environments to reduce packaging waste.
Refill formats are currently available across selected products, including bath salts & pillow sprays, we also supply professional products in formats designed for in-house refill and reuse.
Our commitment lives within the full 360 degree journey with a serious focus on shipping with zero plastic – we re-use cardboard fill and newspaper wrap, complete with plastic free recyclable tape.
